About

History

The Cameroon Association for the Defence of Victims of Accidents and Road Safety (CADVAR) was founded in 2006 with a mission to support the Cameroonian government in combating road accidents and advocating for the rights and wellbeing of accident victims. Over the years, CADVAR has grown into a pivotal organization in the region, dedicated to enhancing road safety policies and providing essential services to those affected by road accidents. By fostering partnerships with international advocacy NGOs like Safekids Worldwide and the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, CADVAR has established itself as a significant player on both national and international stages. Additionally, CADVAR holds a consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), reinforcing its commitment to global standards and practices in road safety and victim support.
